ENCOUNTER WITH GOD!
	I thank the Lord for a wonderful encounter with Him!! A few years ago I was introduced to a newspaper called "Goeie Nuus / Good News". I started reading it and very quickly fell in love with it! Over time, I came across several testimonies and also many words of encouragement. I was so inspired! I've come to know that God's Word is absolutely trustworthy. After faithfully reading the news-paper for some time, I came to the realization that I needed to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Saviour! I can't stop thanking Him for His saving grace! He brought me to a place where I had a personal encounter with Him and was convicted of sin by the Holy Spirit. My life was completely changed ever since the day I read the verse in Romans 12:2 that states: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will." Every month, I am so excited and can't wait for the new edition of the Good News to appear so that I can pick up a copy and read the latest testimonies and articles that mean so much to me and help me mature spiritually. I also share the Good News with others and they find it very informative and uplifting. I've since joined a local congregation and am doubly blessed, since I also grow spiritually by listening to my pastor and mentor whose preaching and teaching help me along my way. Isaiah 60:2 is a powerful word for us all. God is telling His people to arise and move forward. Move into your calling! It's time to let go of the past and all that hinders you to fulfil your spiritual purpose and destiny! - Shaunette Henry
