THE HIGHER POWER

(Eph. 6). PSALM 139:13 ~ “For You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” CREATED in Hebrew means “to bring forth”. David is saying that it was God Who has the power to bring forth/create life. PROVERBS 8:22 ~ “The Lord brought me forth as the first of His works, before His deeds of old.” It was God’s WISDOM OF POWER in which He created David, for he says, “You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” JOB 9:4 ~ “God is wise in heart and mighty in strength.” FOR HIS POWER IS SO VAST PSALM 139:14 ~ “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” David says God’s POWERFUL WORKS are so wonderful. He stands in awe when considering how he was formed physically as well as psychologically. You too should perceive that God has wonderfully created you! GOD IS ALL-POWERFUL VERSE 15 ~ “My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place.” David says, when he was in separation from the visible realm of life, God skilfully formed him. VERSE 16 ~ “And in Your Book they all were written - the days fashioned for me.” In Hebrew this means : “God is the Potter”. JOB 33:6 ~ “I also have been formed out of clay.” Allow the Potter to form you and bring you forth as a vessel of honour for Him. VERSE 17/18 ~ “How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God.” The knowledge of God’s omnipotence is so precious to David. WE ARE TO SHARE HIS POWER EPHESIANS 6:10 ~ “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His MIGHTY POWER.” The Greek for “power” signifies exerted strength, power shown effectively in a reigning authority. We are not here as spectators to watch, but to stand against the darkness and to push it back! MATTHEW 19:2 ~ “Large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there.” With God all things are possible!
