GOD USES INDONESIAN CHILDREN IN HEALING REVIVAL Indonesia is experiencing miracles! In the area where three Christian schoolgirls were brutally beheaded 18 months ago and over 15 000 homes and shops were razed to the ground, three children are being used in a special way to bring the Gospel to many people. Since January 2007, Selvin, an 8 year old Presbyterian girl has been used in a healing revival in the Poso District with up to 30 000 people at a time attending, getting saved and healed. Now another two children have begun to minister. Moko, an 8 year old Presbyterian boy has been touched by the Lord and is preaching the Gospel powerfully and was invited by the Mayor of Toraja (South Sulawesi) to come and conduct revival meetings with 40 000 people attending. Another young girl, 11 year old Maria, a Pentecostal, has begun preaching a message of national repentance as well as repentance in the local churches. All of this is happening in the area greatly impacted by massive persecution that began Christ-mas 1998 and is still continuing. Now it seems that the prayers of many for this area from around the world are being answered. Tens of thousands are being saved. Source: Annette Hammond, JN599 CHILDREN'S REVIVAL SWEEPS NORTHERN THAILAND Christians say spiritual revival has come to the northern Thailand village of Suplang because of the dedication of Karen tribal children. Not only do they gather to praise and worship God each day, but they also pray for the healing of adults and children. Christians started praying for revival here about 10 years ago, but they say noticeable change only came when 12 000 Karen gathered for a reconciliation camp last year. “People started to confess the sins of the village, and commit the village to the Lord,” Sydney Jariyaphruttipong, a Thai pastor, said. “Eighty families out of 85, are now Christians. People confess their sins openly. Children start to see visions of heaven. There’s a clear change in their lives.” Source: Jay Esteban, CBN News Asia REMARKABLE REVIVAL AMONG CHILDREN IN SHILLONG, INDIA A revival is taking place in India’s north-eastern state of Meghalaya. The most unique feature of this revival is the way God is using children to speak to churches, pastors, leaders and parents. Thousands of children have been affected and have brought on many occasions, their own parents back into a relationship with God. In many cases even divorced or separated couples have been reconciled through their children. In other cases whole congregations have been brought to conviction of their sins through the revelations the children received. They are God’s special heroes! One couple we know adopted twin boys who had been severely damaged due to the crack cocaine used by their mother. Our friends adopted them! And they were at an age to be grandparents, the age when most are thinking about cruises, cottages and retirement. The medical authorities told them they were crazy to adopt the boys since they would never be normal. They said the one little guy would never walk, talk, see or even toilet train. When we met them the boys were about five years old and doing much better than the doctors had prophesied! Both were walking, talking and seeing, although the one little guy had stopped growing and wore glasses as thick as old-fashioned coke bottles. We all prayed and the little guy started growing again! Then one morning he came to breakfast without his glasses. The mom asked him to go and get his glasses. He said, ‘Mom, since Jesus came into my room last night, I do not need glasses!’ And that was the truth! A trip to the eye-specialist confirmed that his eyes were completely healed.” Source: Steve Hill, Harvest Now VIETNAM GIVES PERMISSION TO PRINT 100 000 BIBLES Dr David Hunt, president of World Serve Ministries, reports about a stunning development in Viet-nam, where the Communist Government has just given permission to print 100 000 Bibles for the unregistered church in the nation. “We are seeing some of the greatest opportunities and openings in the history of the nation,” says Hunt. The church in Vietnam has grown explosively from about 55 000 baptized believers in 1975 to well over one million believers today. It is custom to stand and sit as the chief does and kneel before him when addressing him. That is exactly what Brett from the JESUS Film Project did as he shared the Gospel with the chief. “After I shared Christ with him, the chief asked me to write down a prayer he had to pray to receive Christ. The pastors we were working with were ecstatic. They told me that meant that he wanted to receive Christ, but in private.” The rest of the village was able to see the JESUS Film, and 14 000 Idoma people accepted Christ in just ten days. The new believers will be cared for by local pastors and JESUS Film workers. “They are able to do the follow-up, train, and disciple new believers. The new believers will join local churches.” Source: Jesus Film Project USA: CONVERTED MURDERER TURNS HIMSELF IN The New York Post reports that 51 year old Michael Mohr of Arizona shocked police in New York’s East Village recently, by walking into the local precinct and announcing that he had strangled a woman on East 13th Street during an argument in 2004, and that Jesus Christ wanted him to turn himself in. Mohr recently became converted and “realized that Jesus wanted him to do the right thing.” “We wish Jesus would solve more of these,” a law enforcement source said. “Mohr was relieved and a little emotional.
