MAKE SURE THE BELT OF TRUTH IS IN PLACE | |

Mark 4:13-20: The sower sows the Word. The first step in receiving the TRUTH is to hear with your physical ear. This represents the wayside ground where the devil comes and steals the Word. When you hear the Word with your soul, i.e. mind, will and emotions, the devil will send persecution and trials along your way, for you are like a plant with shallow roots. This is stony ground and bears no fruit. Then you hear the Word with your spiritual ear and it penetrates your heart. This is the thorny ground. Be careful that you are not choked by the deceitfulness of riches and the cares of this world, for you will become unfruitful. But then you must hear with the ear of action. This is good ground. You hear the Word, speak the Word and act the Word. Then you will produce like a plant that has deep roots and bears fruit: some 30, some 60, and some 100 fold. John 14:6 - Jesus is the Way, the TRUTH and the Life. When you perceive that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, then you have perceived the TRUTH! Matthew 16:15-16 - “He (Jesus) said to them, ‘But who do you say I am?’ Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.’” ALETHEIA is the Greek word for THE TRUTH. It means something that is unconcealed and mani-fests real and genuine. The TRUTH liberates. John 8:36 - “So if the Son of Man sets you free, you will be free indeed.” This TRUTH leads to your salvation when you accept Christ as your Saviour, for He sets you free from your sins through His blood. So when our spiritual loins are girded about with the Belt of TRUTH, which is the Word of God, we are protected so that we can produce souls for Jesus. Ephesians 6:14 - “Stand therefore having your loins girt about with TRUTH…” (KJV). The soldier's belt went round the loins (waist) and held his garments together. This signified a readiness for battle. Attached to the soldier’s girdle (belt) were thick, heavy straps, which exten-ded down to knee level. These would protect the hips and legs. So the Belt of TRUTH determines the FREEDOM and LIBERTY you have as a Christian. The armour of Ephesians 6 protects your walk with God. Isaiah 5:27 - “Not one of them grows tired or stumbles, not one slumbers or sleeps. Not a belt is loosened at the waist, not a sandal thong is broken.” As believers we are able to stand without stumbling or getting weary, because God has equip-ped us to do so. When you have the TRUTH as a belt around your loins, you will be fruitful and you will be free to move toward the manifestation of TRUTH in your life by the Spirit of TRUTH Who dwells with you and in you (John 14:17). FRUIT IS THE OUTWARD RESULT OF INNER ACTIVITY. The Servant’s Girdle, part of Aaron’s garment for the priesthood, was a sash, so that he could minister to the Lord as a priest. Exodus 29:5 - “Then you shall take the garments, put the tunic on Aaron and the robe of the ephod, the ephod and the breastplate and gird him with the intricately woven band of the ephod.” The girdle here speaks of service. WE ARE WORTHY TO SERVE BECAUSE WE ARE WORTHY IN HIM! Revelation 1:13 - “And in the midst of the seven lampstands one like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.” This is a reference to CHRIST as the HIGH PRIEST. Jesus is Lord, mighty in Battle! He is your Source of Strength and is the Victor Who has broken hell’s ability to keep you captive! |
