NOW IS THE TIME, THE HOUR AND THE MOMENT | |

Pastor Bill Marks, Christian Fellowship, Potchefstroom, 018 293 1608 or 079 311 6515 At the beginning of this year the Holy Spirit gave these words to me for 2010: "Now is the Time, the Hour and the Moment." It is interesting to note that our country also chose the following slogan for the hosting of the Soccer World Cup this month: "Ke Nako" - This means "It is Time". Over many years a prophetic word has gone out over Africa that it will play a major role in the end times. Right now it is South Africa's time to take up the hour of challenge to spread God's Word. We will also be seeing a double anointing upon this generation to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1 Samuel 31:1-6 we read the account of the time when the Philistines gathered their armies and fought against Israel. Jonathan and two of his brothers were killed and the Philistine archers critically wounded Saul. His life came to a tragic end as he took his own sword and fell on it. Today there is also a process of self-destruction going on. Many young girls are cutting their wrists, because the enemy wants to destroy their lives by lying to them through spirits of self-hatred, self-rejection and guilt. It is not worth becoming so obsessed with neurotic, negative thoughts and to keep talking about them all the time, for it will become part of your life. Forgive people who have hurt you and go and show kindness to others. In 2 Samuel 4:4 we read that a nurse took Mephibosheth and hastily fled for their lives when she heard that his father, Jonathan, and grandfather, Saul, had died in battle, but as she ran, she dropped him and he became lame in both legs. At the age of five, Mephibosheth lived in a place called Lo Debar. In Hebrew the word means “A place of no communication,” and from a young age he was impoverished physi-cally, emotionally and spiritually. 2 Samuel 9:1-4: "King David sends Ziba to go and fetch Mephibosheth so that he can show him kindness for Jonathan's sake, because of the covenant that they had made with each other." You see, this was "Mephibosheth's TIME" to be restored. Jeff Keith had one of his legs amputated because of cancer. He turned this tragedy into triumph and grasped the moment by entering the Cross Country Race for the American Cancer Society. He used 3 artificial legs and 36 pairs of shoes to complete the three thousand mile route. Time and time again he visited the depressed cancer patients to inspire them and also encouraged prisoners in the Sing Sing Jail. DO NOT LOOK AT WHAT YOU HAVE LOST, BUT WHAT YOU HAVE LEFT IN YOUR LIFE! The secret is to go and show kindness to others for you have all of God's resources in you to accomplish this. Remember, you are God's masterpiece and you are royalty, for that is how King David treated Mephibosheth. In verse 11 he said, "He shall eat at my table like one of the king's sons." Jesus is inviting you today to come and sit at His table. It is "YOUR TIME" to be with Him and to overcome your condition by positioning yourself with Him. This is your time and hour to become a child of the King of kings by asking the Lord Jesus to forgive you of your sins and receiving Him as your Lord and Saviour. He is longing to come and share His kindness and grace with you! Sponsored by A Tapestry Garden Guest House |
