![]() Jesus says (Luke 21:9-11;25-28): "But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately. "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. "And there will be great earth-quakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; "men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken. "Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemp-tion draws near." (Read Matt. 24:6-51; Mark 13; Is. 34:4; and Joel 2:10, 31). Maybe Jesus is coming sooner than we think! Serve Him whole-heartedly today! TOMORROW MAY BE TOO LATE! Be sure today that you live in the right relationship with God, that you are cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, and that you live a holy life! Read the Bible everyday and be strengthened. "But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. "For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man." (Luke 21:34-36 NKJV) "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. "Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness." (2 Peter 3:9-11 NKJV). "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9 NKJV). "Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. "He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. "But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. "He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked." (1 John 2:3-6 NKJV). |
