COME OUT OF YOUR CAVES!

During the period before David became King of Israel, he (in fear) had to flee from Saul to the Desert of En Gedi. 1 Samuel 24:1 - "After Saul returned from pursuing the Philistines, he was told, ‘David is in the Desert of En Gedi’." En Gendi is a barren region with fresh water flowing through it. The entire area is filled with caves and served as a hiding place for David and his men. Fear is one of the first emotions recorded in the Bible. Satan always plans to dis-connect us from God by using fear. Fear drives us into caves - hiding from God. Genesis 3:9-10 - "But the Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you?’ He answered, ‘I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid’." A CAVE CALLED ‘THE FEAR OF MAN’ If you are being manipulated or controlled in any way - whether through abuse or intimidation - take the courage to say "NO". Proverbs 29:25 - "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe." (Read Isaiah 51:12-13). ONE OF THE BIGGEST CAVES OF FEAR IS THE LACK OF FINANCES TRUST GOD FOR TOMORROW AND STEP OUT OF THIS CAVE! Proverbs 3:5 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." Philippians 4:6 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." When by prayer you make your requests known to God, give your fears to a Higher Authority and put them in the Hands of Someone Who is Superior in Rank - JESUS! STAY CONNECTED TO GOD Psalm 91:1 - "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty." For the Presence of God will affect your total being. Verse 5 - "You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day." IT IS OUR KNOWLEDGE OF, AND BELIEF IN GOD WHICH SETS US FREE FROM FEAR. COME OUT OF YOUR CAVES OF FEAR!
