ONE MAN... ONE KAYAK... OVER 16 000 KM

Kayak 4 Aids was founded by Werner Stoltz, a man who has taken the pledge to do something about HIV/AIDS. With the help of God and his sponsors, Werner will be the first person to attempt one of the most adventurous and dangerous expeditions to raise awareness and money for HIV/AIDS: a solo kayak trip from London to Durban - a total distance of 16 000 km! Not only is he the first person to attempt such a daring feat, but this will also be the longest kayak journey in history. We invite you to be part of this groundbreaking journey!
Werner has recently returned from successfully circumnavigating the Irish coastline in 55 days with a sea kayak. He completed the 1 740 km circumnavigation completely solo, raising money for children infected with HIV.
The expedition will take Werner an estimated 84 weeks in some of the toughest conditions imaginable. His dream is to raise R2 000 000 to open an AIDS Shelter called "The Nineveh Project" in South Africa. His expedition will take him from the United Kingdom to France, West Spain, Portugal, South Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique to finally arrive in Durban - South Africa. Werner is a 24-year-old Christian who played rugby in Ireland for four years until he had a serious neck and head injury, preventing him from playing most sports. Werner says: "I would never be doing what I'm doing if it wasn't for that injury, so praise the Lord for opening my eyes."
Werner says: " I know I'll make it! I'm doing this for God and His children... I'm not afraid to go, actually I can't wait to see Him! I'm so certain that the Lord will protect me and keep me safe! I have Philippians 4:13 on the side of my kayak ("I can do everything through Christ Who gives me strength") and I live by that.
"If you can believe that with all your heart and soul, there are no limits to what you can achieve. I not only want to help the sick, more importantly, I also want to win people for the Lord. God has called me to do something and calling the trip 'Nineveh' (from the book of Jonah) will ensure that I always remember not to turn away from what God wants me to do, and this is what I want to teach the children. All this would be impossible to do if I didn't believe in God."
You can help Werner and Kayak 4 Aids, by making an online donation, buying a pixel of the website for your company or joining our kayak club. You will be making a real difference to many less fortunate!
We covet readers' prayers and sponsor-ship. Thank you for opening your hearts. We look forward to hearing from you. God bless!
