THE PEACE OF GOD IN PRISON
	Traian Coteanu is a man with a mission. He ministers in 12 prisons in Romania to introduce prisoners to Christ. Once, when he preached on Jesus' words "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest," this sermon pierced the heart of Julia, a 47-year old mother who was sentenced to 16 years in prison. For the first time in her life she experienced peace and total surrender. She changed dramatically. Coteanu visited her several times and she opened up and shared her life story with him. "I was eight years old when my father left my mother for dead. He was an alcoholic and very aggressive when under the influence of alcohol. This caused severe tension in our family. He beat up my mother so badly that she could no longer care for her nine children. The children were placed in several childen's homes and I lost contact with all my siblings." "Later I got married and had two children. But then my husband started drinking and I ended up being so depressed that it led to several suicide attempts and an attempt to kill my own daughter. I was arrested and convicted to 16 years in prison. Here I came to faith and for the first time in my life I found peace. God healed me of my depression and forgave my sins.
