“Die Bybel het my lewe heeltemal
verander! Ek het voorheen niks van die
Bybel geweet nie, maar sedert ek meer
van die Bybel geleer het, het ek Jesus as
my Verlosser aangeneem en Hom deel
van my lewe gemaak.” Aan die woord is
Linomtha Thole, 'n graad 7-leerder van
die Oos-Kaap. Linomtha het danksy die
Bybelgenootskap se projek, Bybels vir
graad 7-leerders, 'n Bybel ontvang. “Ek is
ook baie bly dat ek die Bybel met my
ouers, familie en vriende kan deel.”

Bernard Coetzee van Mpumalanga het
ook in sy graad 7-jaar 'n Bybel ontvang. Linomtha Thole
Hy sê die volgende oor die Bybel: “Die
Bybel is vir my baie belangrik . Ek lees dit
elke dag. Dit is die kompas vir my lewe.
Dit help my in moeilike tye en dit lei my op
die regte pad.”

Met hierdie projek wil die Bybel-
genootskap verseker dat kinders aan die
begin van hul tienerjare en in die
lewensfase waar hulle maklik beïnvloed
kan word, 'n Bybel het. Die Bybel se
boodskap kan help met die vorming van
'n waardestelsel en dit bring hoop vir
hulle toekoms. Jou bydrae sal help dat 'n
kind 'n Bybel - die Kompas vir die Lewe - Bernard Coetzee
kan ontvang.

The Word of God - our very precious dog-eared Bibles - contain
blessings that we could not begin to imagine, should we be able to
"see" them all at once! And yet, they are there, for you ... "For no matter
how many promises God has made, they are 'Yes' in Christ. And so
through Him the 'Amen' is spoken by us to the glory of God" (2 Cor.
1:20). Our Father replies "Yes" when we pray according to His will and
we respond with "Amen" before even receiving or seeing the blessing.
That is faith! Today the Presence of the Lord is with you. He promised,
"My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest" (Ex. 33:14). Our
Father knows in minute detail just what your life exacts from you.
Today, live and soak in His awesome Presence and find your rest in
Him. Today, His love surrounds your life entirely. "We have come to
know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and
whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in Him" (John
4:16). Anger with current situations lead to deep frustrations. Today,
choose the scenic route and walk in His love. Today, trust Him
implicitly to lead you and profess your willingness to do so. "You make
known to me the path of life; in Your Presence is fullness of joy ..." (Ps.
16:11). Today, believe your Father when He speaks to your heart,
"Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them,
and they will be His people ..." (Rev. 21:3). Not only in heaven one day,
but now, today He is walking with you. Today, even in sorrow and a
dark place of desolation, He is with you. His comforting arms are
holding you, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me" (Ps. 23:4). We cannot trust our feelings, but we can
trust God's Word. He is with you. You are not alone beloved child of the
